Lenten Resources 2023

Are you looking for some resources to help you and your family observe Lent this year? Here are some devotionals and other materials that might enrich your Lenten season.

Lent Calendar and Devotional Booklet

St. John’s Vancouver and the God’s Big Story team have prepared a devotional booklet, calendar, colouring book and music playlist again this year for Lent. The materials are all designed for family discipleship around the table.

You can download all the materials here:

ARDFC

The Anglican Relief and Development Fund Canada is providing a weekly Lenten devotional email. Here’s their description:

Many of us know what it is like to take a trip or journey to places we enjoy ... or maybe to places we have never visited where life is different and unfamiliar. This Lent we shall reflect and journey for about 40 days. We will learn something deeper about ourselves and something new about people living in Mozambique where life has difficulties and many are poor. Along the way we will also find Jesus who calls us through His words in Scripture to walk closely with Him and become as neighbours to those in need.

Matthew 25 Initiative

The Matthew 25 Initiative is a ministry within the ACNA aiming to equip, gather, connect, and offer refreshment for ACNA practitioners working in ministries that serve the vulnerable, marginalized, and under-resourced.

Each day of Lent you are invited to receive an inspiring, beautiful, and theologically-provoking reflection on Christ’s heart for his children living in poverty, in at-risk families, and as refugees and immigrants far from home. We have partnered with the Anglican Relief and Development Fund to provide a global perspective on how we relate to these issues in our parishes, cities, countries, and world.

Our aim is to provide you with a richness of resources for continued growth in how we all engage our neighbours with kingdom "lenses" that nudge us to "draw near" like Christ in our particular time and place.
