On Mission Book 2024

For the past few years co-ordinator for our On Mission priority, Canon Brian McVitty, has prepared an On Mission book for the beginning of each year. This book is a 30 day devotional focused on world missions. Each day you will be transported to an inspiring global mission project supported by one of our Anglican Network in Canada congregations. Each daily reading includes an ANiC mission project, a Bible reading and a prayer.

Beginning on January 14th use this book as a 30 day count down to Lent (and a way to celebrate World Mission Sunday on February 4th). Or this book can be used at any time of the year. Celebrate all the great things being done in Jesus’ name around the world by our ANiC parishes.

“Following one of the evening worship services in Kigali, Rwanda, I stepped from the convention centre into the  night and I could see small cookfires dotting the landscape  on the hillsides beyond the city. This imagery embodies the  essence of mission: the Church venturing into darkness, engaging in small yet impactful acts of evangelism and  compassion that reveal the radiant light of Jesus, dispelling  the world's darkness.”

— Bishop Dan Gifford (ANiC)

I applaud the Anglican Network in Canada that has taken the World Mission Sunday emphasis even further with the publication of the On Mission Devotional Guide book. This  book showcases the amazing mission work and global  partnerships of ANiC that are expanding the Kingdom of God and relieving much suffering in the world.”

— Archbishop Foley Beach (ACNA)
