An Update on Our COVID-19 Measures

COVID-19.jpg

A few weeks ago I announced a decision that all public worship and all gatherings from all ANiC congregations were to be suspended for the following three weeks, including this coming Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020. I also promised that on April 1st we would send out an update to that announcement.

Accordingly I am writing today to announce that we are now extending that suspension for another three weeks, which includes Easter Sunday and the remaining two Sundays of April—the 19th and the 26th. This means the suspension now continues through to the end of April. (Before the end of April I will send another update.)

Tomorrow, April 2, 2020, Lord willing, I hope to send out a Pastoral Letter addressing our life together, particularly considering the challenges and sacrifices that we are dealing with in our isolation as we seek to worship our Crucified and Risen Saviour through Holy Week and Easter.

Please continue to connect with one another by all the means possible—by phone and online—and let us lift up our eyes in prayer to the God who raises the dead, praying for one another and the world.

"Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again."
2 Corinthians 1:9-10
