Family Ministries Director - Vancouver, BC

St. Peter’s Fireside in Vancouver, BC is looking for a Family Ministry Director that is enthusiastic about creating spaces and experiences that help kids get to know God better. Here’s how they introduce the position:

St. Pete’s Kids is a special place. It is not daycare or babysitting or school. St.Pete’s Kids is a place for kids to encounter God as kids. Where they hear the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.

In light of this vision, the role of the Family Ministry Director involves supervising, planning, and coordinating all aspects of St. Pete’s Kids. This includes providing age appropriate Christian formation and liturgies that teach Scripture, doctrines of the Church, and help children develop spiritual practices (e.g. prayer).

This role involves supporting and developing the children’s ministry serving team, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and that all families have confidence in our safety procedures.

Additional responsibilities include supporting caregivers in discipling their children and providing resources to facilitate ongoing spiritual development in the home. This is an area where we expect creativity and initiative in responding to the individual challenges that families face.

The Family Ministry Director will be expected to participate with the rest of the staff in shaping Sunday morning services and serving as any community member would in our Sunday morning services.
