After studying music at Memorial University of Newfoundland and theology at Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary, Father Darrell was ordained both deacon and priest by Bishop Harvey. He has a passion for teaching the Word and helping Christians grow deeper as disciples of Christ - so they may, in turn, be equipped to better serve God in the world. A convert to Anglicanism, Father Darrell is often heard to say "if we only believed the words of the Book of Common Prayer we would win the world for Christ!"

Father Darrell is the rector of the Anglican Church of the Good Samaritan in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Apart from his duties as rector of the parish, Father Darrell serves as Archdeacon of Eastern Canada, is a member of the Provincial Task Force on Common Liturgy and is actively engaged in mission work in Guatemala.

He and his wife Sarah have a son – Chase, and a very special foster-daughter.
