Mike Donison has been the Diocesan Chancellor since 2011. He is a graduate of both the University of Victoria (B.A., 1972) and the University of British Columbia ( LL.B, 1976).

He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1977 and was in the private practice of law in BC from then until 2001 (except for about three years working in both the federal Parliament and the BC Legislative Assembly).

From 2001 until 2008 he held various senior political and policy and advisory positions in Ottawa and then served as the General Manager for a Government relations firm in Ottawa until his retirement from it in 2018. He briefly served again in a political advisory position in the Senate and in 2020 he and his wife Marilyn moved out for retirement to West Kelowna, BC.

He is the father of three sons and five beautiful grand daughters and now a recently arrived grandson as well.
