Full-time Student Ministry Director - St. John's Vancouver

St. John’s Vancouver is a large Anglican church located in the heart of Vancouver, and part of the Anglican Network in Canada. We are evangelical in our approach to Bible teaching, preaching, and study.  We have a variety of services that range from traditional prayer book services to more contemporary services. The congregation is a broad mix of ages and church backgrounds unified under the Gospel. The Bible based youth ministry has a strong discipleship model which the congregation would like to see continue and strengthened.

 

We are looking for a full-time Director of Student Ministries to lead our Youth Group of about 75 youth aged 12-18 years. As the Director of Student Ministries, you would be responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing a Christ-centered program for the purpose of making Christian disciples. As well, you would be responsible for recruiting, mentoring and leading a volunteer youth leadership team.

 

The right candidate will have a clear understanding and strong grip of the Gospel, having a Christ focused comprehensive biblical theology. They love and have a passion for youth. They will have demonstrated the ability to teach and lead youth by God’s Word.  They are seeking to serve God in youth ministry within a church body context. They will also have proven skills leading teams, developing discipleship programs, and implementing ministry plans.
