Ed is a Professional Engineer with a Masters Degree in Engineering from McMaster University and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is retired from the federal government after 33 years in engineering, scientific, and executive positions. He has published two books and many papers on ice and ice research, and has lectured on related subjects around the world. He has travelled extensively both for business and pleasure.
He has been married to Dyanna for 44 years and has two adult children both recently married.
He has attended St George’s Lowville for more than 28 years serving in many capacities including co-leading the youth program for 11 years, teaching Sunday school, serving as warden and currently chairing Parish Council. He accepted Jesus as his personal saviour in 1984.
He has managed the ANiC insurance program since 2008.
Ed gardens, reads extensively, plays bridge, and is an avid woodworker.
