St Luke’s new building is created
18 October 2009 – After months of renovations involving over 100 willing volunteers, St Luke's dedicated its new building on 18 October 2009. The former catering hall - and new home for St Luke's is at 307 Julien Street, Pembroke. The congregation purchased the large catering hall and transformed it into a church building with a sanctuary and fellowship hall - something the media called “the miracle of Julien Street”. The Rev Tim Parent said, "We at St. Luke's want to give public thanks and praise to God for all He has done for us over the last year, and particularly in leading us to our new location."   > Photos

In the mornings, the team conducted two VBS sessions – one in Kinosota and one in Amaranth – with 25-30 kids at each. In the afternoons, the St George's team gathered in Amaranth – which is a 30+ minute drive from Kinosota – to paint community building, including the fire hall and Gospel Mission. All agreed it was a fantastic week of mutual encouragement and blessing.   > Photos
