Report from Primates’ meetings in Tanzania
Today, our Network delegation met with the Bishop of the Diocese of Tabora in Tanzania, the Rt. Rev. Sadock Makaya. Church of the Good Shepherd and St. John’s (Shaughnessy) Anglican Church (Rev. Stephen Leung’s and Rev. David Short’s churches respectively) in Vancouver are holding a fund raising concert for this diocese through a project of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF).
The bishop took a 7 hour bus ride to Dar Es Salaam in order to meet with the Canadians and he will be returning to Tabora tomorrow. Everyone felt blessed by the encounter and we prayed for one another and for the Primates who were meeting nearby.
