Bishop Bill Murdoch, Anglican Diocese in New England (ACNA), writes in his email of 29 May 2009 to ANiC leaders including Canon David Short (St John’s Shaughnessy):
“I have read the accounts of the trial, from Cheryl [Chang] and I know that you David are scheduled to go to the stand today. You are all doing a great job and the testimony of the faithful to the gospel ministry of the churches and pastors involved is fantastic and honors our Lord and the Holy Scriptures. We are holding you in our hearts and in our prayers today, David.”
