Ms Joyce Lee
Director, Anglican Network in Canada
Joyce is a Vancouver-based partner with the legal firm of McCarthy Tetrault LLP, where she is a corporate and securities lawyer. She also serves on the Network's legal team. Joyce makes her home in Vancouver together with her husband, Sheung Kai Yung, who she says is “the greatest gift God has given me”.
The issue we are facing in our Church is not an “Anglican” issue, says Joyce. “God has placed us here - at this time, at this place, with this Anglican Church - and we need to faithfully take up the challenge. With God's help and in submission to Him, we must defend the 'Holy Ground'. This is about defending the Christian faith in North America.” She goes on to say, "The decline of the Church is NOT just because a certain group has decided to ignore the teaching of the Holy Scripture. All of us need to repent and seek God's forgiveness and pray for revival. Maybe God will have mercy on our Church and on us.” Speaking personally, Joyce says, “I want to live my life so that I can say with the Apostle Paul, 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
