> AEC 24/7 prayer vigil
Nova Scotia Essentials has set up an online site dedicated to prayer for the Anglican Church of Canada, particularly as we approach General Synod 2007. Access to the site requires individuals to register and obtain a password. Designed as a “bulletin board”, once you have gained access you will be able to read and post entries. The hope is that as you gather for prayer, you will “log on”, identify the topics covered during your prayer time, share thoughts and concerns, and even post specific prayers, if desired. The moderators will be posting information up-dates and suggestions for prayer on a regular basis. The web site address is: http://prayerroom.7.forumer.com.
During the actual time of Synod there will be a 24/7 section to the prayer site. This will allow us to cover the entire time of Synod with prayer, and people will be given the opportunity to sign up to pray during specific hours of the day.
Basic rules of privacy and etiquette apply. First names only will protect identities of individuals, but God knows exactly who they are. The moderators reserve the right to remove postings which are deemed offensive by tone or content. If a registered participant is unable to participate within these guidelines, they will be blocked from the site. We pray that this will be a useful and unifying site, glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ whom we serve!
